Education systems vary from country to country. Trust the trained professionals at FIS to know how credentials from a country compare in the U.S. Our foreign credential evaluation reports are not database-driven but rather individually researched and carefully crafted by a team of trained professionals. Each candidate’s documents are analyzed to determine the most accurate U.S. equivalent.
Individuals
For individuals seeking education, employment, immigration or licensing in the US.
Organizations
For military recruiters, licensing boards organizations, businesses, attorneys and schools working with individuals wishing to come to the U.S.
Your individual academic and employment experience is clearly defined. FIS educational evaluations are used nationally to provide admission into U.S. universities, meet licensing or certification requirements, gain employment or immigration benefits, or enter military service.
For immigration related cases, our expert opinion letters from an appropriate university professor may add authority in certain U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) petitions.
Document-by-Document Evaluations
A straightforward U.S. equivalency report
A Document-by-Document report evaluates each foreign academic program to determine its corresponding US educational equivalent. These reports are simpler than Course-by-Course evaluations, but they include all the basic criteria expected by potential employers, schools, universities, and licensing boards including institutional accreditation/recognition, program duration, dates of study, and entrance requirements. For an additional fee, the report may be modified to include a cumulative grade point average (GPA) per program/degree.
In some circumstances, FIS will evaluate work experience to determine educational equivalencies based on regulatory guidelines for clients seeking to meet U.S. immigration requirements (for example, H-1B visa petitioners). Clients may also want to review the information for Expert Opinion evaluations.
Please check with the institution or agency to which you will submit the evaluation report to determine if a Document-by-Document evaluation meets their requirements. The Document-by-Document is typically used for immigration, military enlistment, or general employment.
Document-by-Document Evaluations are typically used for immigration and employment purposes.

In addition to discussing institutional accreditation/recognition, program duration, dates of study, and entrance requirements, this comprehensive report includes a listing of the coursework completed within each program, along with the equivalent US credit hours and US grade per subject.
