The primary requirement of every
translation project is accuracy. Often, there is simply no
margin for error: Even a minor mistake can be embarrassing
or costly.
More than two decades of experience providing international
document services has taught FIS that the key to accuracy
is to rely on the best professionals available. That's why
we have created a global network of experienced professional
translators who are certified by the American Translators
Association (ATA) or by the authority governing translation
services in their country.
The certification process involves demanding requirements
and testing by the ATA or other certification bodies. In
addition, each Translation Professional in the FIS network
must be a native language speaker and must pass our own rigorous
translation exam. As a result, our certified translators
can handle nearly any language from around the globe, including
subtle geographic and cultural variations, such as Argentinean
Spanish or Senegalan French.
But simply having the right language skills is not enough
to become a translator for FIS. Each of our translators is
assigned to projects based on their experience with the subject
matter of the documents to be translated. For example, many
of our translators are attorneys. Using subject matter experts
for each project helps us ensure the accuracy of each translation.

certified translators can help you avoid costly or embarrassing
mistakes.
